Summary

This entry-level role involves managing the full process of buying and acquiring equipment and services for the Navy's aviation maintenance center, from planning to execution.

Full Job Description

You will serve as an ACQUISITION PROGRAM SPECIALIST in the Fleet Readiness Center East of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) or (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing computer skills through oral and written communication in order to use the application of procurement laws, regulations and policies; 2) Preparing documents, analysis, formulation, research, expenditures to execute procurement actions; 3) Preparing and providing data analytical input to utilize a variety of computer software programs/application techniques such as developing charts, worksheets, estimates and correspondence; 4) Planning, scheduling and managing workload to compete priorities through the project life cycle; 5) Demonstrating problem solving capabilities in a customer service environment to prepare recommendations and ensuring mission essential support requirements are optimal and timely.

  • You will be responsible for acquisition planning, organizing, and managing tasks and projects for the entire acquisition life cycle.
  • You will serve as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) with responsibilities for participating in the planning, directing, controlling, and administering of assigned program elements/resources in connection with the assigned areas.
  • You will perform ranges of duties related to preparation of required acquisition documents, analysis, formulation, presentation, and execution of contracts assigned to the Industrial/Acquisition n Procurement Division.
  • You will ensure acquisition strategy plans are in alignment with the Command and COMFRCs strategic plans, and program plans are clear and concise, to ensure fulfillment of requirements, fiscal adequacy, and planned progress.
