This job involves handling everyday accounting tasks like processing invoices and reconciliations, managing travel and purchasing for staff, processing payroll, and providing general office support across multiple locations in Alaska's wildlife conservation division.
It's based in Palmer and supports field offices in remote areas.

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Wildlife Conservation is recruiting
for an Accounting Technician 1 located in Palmer, Alaska!
What You Will Be Doing:
This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations in the areas of accounting, travel, procurement, and payroll as well as providing general administrative support to the region.
Region IV has four (4) area offices located in Palmer, Glennallen, King Salmon, and Dillingham which this position supports.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:
This position is in Palmer. Daily work involves one card reconciliations, invoice processing, personnel/hiring paperwork, assisting division employees with purchasing and travel questions, and completing procurement documents. This position is Monday-Friday, 8AM-4:30PM in an office setting.
