Full Job Description

You will serve as an Accountant in the Accounting Division (620), Finance Department (600) of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience independently planning and executing automated accounting operations to meet government mandates for official accounting systems.

Experience performing official accounting, financial reporting, and continuous fiscal operations in support of the Accounting Officer.

Experience reviewing accounting records and operating systems to ensure financial accuracy and compliance in complex situations.

Experience drafting regulations and preparing statistical accounting data beyond standard guideline requirements.

  • You will plan and execute automated account operations including accounting internal management requirements to meet government official accounting and feeder systems.
  • You will provide fiscal operation evaluations, analysis and special studies in accordance with the maintenance of financial accounts.
  • You will assist in implementing accounting operating systems and modifications or adaptions in effectiveness/efficiencies of supplemental accounting procedures, forms, and reports.
  • You will prepare specification/enhancements required to further develop and refine existing and future accounting operations and program applications.
  • You will make recommendations for elimination or duplicative information.
  • You will coordinate accomplishment of account compliances and duties.
  • You will review and perform drafting of official regulation and review the working program on a continual basis to standardize and improve procedures.
