Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must be at least 18 years of age and hold a high school diploma (or equivalent).
Experience in clerical duties in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody or other processing cash items to include use of cash accountability control methods, processing payments, maintaining records of payments received and declined.
Applicant must have experience using a computer and knowledge of data base management, spreadsheet software, managing email correspondence, maintaining electronic files and data collecting.
Applicant must have good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Applicant must have all required immunizations. May be required to lift 40 lbs.
Must complete and pass a pre-employment physical. Must satisfactorily complete installation and state criminal background checks and a Tier 1 background investigation.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:
Responsible for a wide variety of clerical duties for the Youth Center, Open Recreation, and Teen and Sports Programs.
Utilizes online enrollment systems to register children in the appropriate programs, schedule payments, and maintain required documentation for children's files.
Manage and maintain enrollment by utilizing the online enrollment system to maintain the waiting list and offer childcare slots.
Maintain enrollment rosters for all programs offered by the Youth Center ensuring that the program meets full capacity. Enroll patrons in Youth Sports and maintain all records as required.
Check children's records periodically ensuring all required records are current. Manage files for children with special needs and ensure that all required documentation is updated annually.
Inform Youth Director when a new child requires an Inclusion Action Team (IAT) meeting which must be held prior to enrollment and annually.
Responsible for collecting electronic payments, ensuring all families accounts are current and deposit paperwork is completed and turned into the cash cage as required.
Completes operations reports and data calls as assigned. Serves as the Youth Center's Records Management Custodian and maintains file IAW the established guidelines.
Uses various computer programs to create a variety of documents including but not limited to spreadsheets, memorandums, and newsletters.
Ensure that documents are produced within the established timeframe and are in the proper format with accuracy in spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Maintain record of staff work hours, leave requests and complete payroll for NAF staff. Provides quality customer service to patrons, children and staff.
Performs additional duties as assigned for continuous mission support. May be subject to irregular hours, evening and or weekends.
