About the Position: The installation rests in the beautiful 'hill and lake' country of Central Texas between Killeen and Copperas Cove and is approximately 60 miles north of the capital city of Austin, 50 miles south of Waco, 160 miles south of Dallas, and 150 miles north of San Antonio.

Specialized Experience GS-6: One year of specialized experience which includes; performing a variety of administrative automation duties using database applications and web based information systems, managing work order requests, and performing general office automation work to include competing forms, reports, correspondence.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Specialized Experience GS-7: One year of specialized experience which includes; reviewing work requests for appropriate information and documentation, utilizing automated systems such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), and performing general office automation work to include competing forms, reports, correspondence.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement GS-6: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).

Time in Grade Requirement GS-7: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).

Major Duties:

  • Perform a variety of administrative/technical and associated typing/office automation duties related to the processing of work management data in systems such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS).
  • Interpret and apply regulations, manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies and directives, contracts, agreements, Memorandums of Understanding, sometimes in difficult and complicated transactions.
  • Process Work Requests, DMO’s, and PMO’s through operation of the Work Management Customer Service Area, Area Shop Work Control Center, for the assigned work center (WC), entire installation, tenant activities, and other authorized customers.
