Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing and coordinating work projects for ship maintenance and repairs in the Navy, ensuring contractors follow safety rules and schedules are met on time.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a WORK INTEGRATION MANAGER on the Work Integration Team (Code 300.WIM) in the Operations Department of PSNS and IMF.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing work authorizations of trade production projects to execute timeliness, recommend corrective actions, and incorporate modifications of contract requirements.

  • You will act as a representative and work integration manager providing oversight of contractors to ensure compliance with standard work practices, personal safety, ship safety, and hazardous material handling.
  • You will sequence and schedule processes pertaining to the development and issue of all scheduling products for construction, maintenance, repair, manufacturing on ships, cranes or projects.
  • You will approve leave, resolve union issues, carry out policies in labor and employee relations or recommend discipline.
  • You will establish performance objectives, evaluate employee performance and mentor or advise employees on administrative and technical matters.
