Full Job Description

You will serve as a WORK AND FAMILY LIFE COORDINATOR in the FLEET AND FAMILY READINESS DEPARTMENT ofNAVSTA GTMO.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Planning, implementing and administering family life services and activities to support military members, retirees and their families; 2.

Developing activities, programs and services to improve quality of life for community members in aspects of career, social, financial, health and community; 3.

Providing training and information on a variety of Quality-of-Life Programs to communicate available resources to community including financial concerns, transitions, deployment, stress, etc; 4.

Collaborating with military members, leaders and community members to execute a multi-department installation to manage events, activities and programs.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will review all new and existing Work and Family (WFL) programs and recommend changes to supervisor.
  • You will maximize various forms of service delivery, including virtual services via webinar, video, email, phone and ship aboard to deployed service members.
  • You will collaborate with military and community based Quality of Life (QOL) strategic partners on executing multi-departmental installation QOL primary prevention events and activities.
  • You will analyze new legislation to determine impact on program operations and management, making program adjustments and/or providing recommendations to the Director, as appropriate.
  • You will develop and thoroughly review standard operating procedures and service delivery process to ensure adherence to laws, policies, certification standards, confidentiality standards, and qualify assurance.
  • You will research, write articles, prepare and deliver briefings on programs and services.
