This job involves performing various types of welding on metals like steel and aluminum to maintain and repair naval equipment at a military facility in Mississippi.
You'll work from blueprints or instructions to cut, weld, and finish parts using different tools and techniques, often in challenging positions like overhead or vertical.
It's a great fit for experienced welders who can work independently with strong attention to detail and safety.
You will serve as a Welder in the EXPEDITIONARY MAINTENANCE CENTER of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.
