In this position, you will engage in a year-long training program that includes hands-on experience to understand the responsibilities of an environmental inspector in a particular area.
As a trainee, you will familiarize yourself with relevant regulations and policies while supporting seasoned inspectors in evaluating designated facilities.
This role could lead to opportunities as a Safe Drinking Water inspector, Storage Tanks inspector, Wastewater Treatment Plant inspector, or Air Quality inspector, among other specialties.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
