Requirements

This position requires a high level of technical expertise, as the Chief Operator is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of a complex wastewater treatment facility.

In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safe and effective management of wastewater treatment services that directly support the Moshannon Forest District and the surrounding community.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Wednesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• One year of experience in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant.

Special Requirements:

• This position requires possession of a valid certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater System Operators as a wastewater treatment plant operator that is equal to or greater than the classification and subclassification of the wastewater system to be operated or maintained (WCE-7,8, and 12 certification and WWD-1,4 certification).
• This position requires possession of a valid certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater System Operators as a water treatment plant operator that is equal to or greater than the classification and subclassification of the water system to be operated or maintained (WCE-7,8, and 12 certification and WWD-1,4 certification).
• This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
