This job involves leading the daily operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant in Pennsylvania's Moshannon Forest District, ensuring everything runs smoothly to protect the environment and support forest management.

Key Requirements

  • One year of experience as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator or equivalent in operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant
  • Valid certification from the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater System Operators at or above WCE-7, 8, 12 and WWD-1, 4 levels for wastewater systems
  • Valid certification from the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater System Operators at or above WCE-7, 8, 12 and WWD-1, 4 levels for water systems
  • Possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent
  • Ability to work full-time schedule of 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Wednesday through Saturday, with no telework option

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Wednesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of experience in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant.


Special Requirements:

  • This position requires possession of a valid certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater System Operators as a wastewater treatment plant operator that is equal to or greater than the classification and subclassification of the wastewater system to be operated or maintained (WCE-7,8, and 12 certification and WWD-1,4 certification).
  • This position requires possession of a valid certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater System Operators as a water treatment plant operator that is equal to or greater than the classification and subclassification of the water system to be operated or maintained (WCE-7,8, and 12 certification and WWD-1,4 certification).
  • This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
