Base salary range: $74,441 - $96,770

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience for the respective grade level in which you are applying: To qualify at the GS-12 level, you must possess: Specialized Experience: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service performing (obtained in either the public or private sectors) (3) of the (4) duties listed below: Assisting in conducting training, workshops, presentations and/or meetings with law enforcement personnel and/or related officials; Collaborating with federal or local law enforcement to coordinate support services for victims or witnesses during or prior to hearings or trials; Conducting interviews with victims or witnesses to collect impact statements; Supporting the development or improvement of a victim or witness program to ensure compliance with federal victim/witness laws.

TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible.
One year at the GS-11 is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. You must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade.
No award SF-50 will be accepted; recommended SF-50s include promotions and step increases (within grade increases). Major Duties:
This Victim Witness Coordinator serves as one of three V/W Service Coordinator(s) with collaborating responsibility for developing and maintaining a complete victim assistance program that meets the provisions of law and policy and promoting the litigative programs of the USAO-DC.
If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing Victim Witness Coordinator support in the U.S.
Attorney's Office, District of Columbia, located in Washington, District of Columbia, focusing in the areas of victim/witness assistance support.
Typical work assignments will include: Promoting and complying with legislative and policy requirements regarding the treatment of victims and witnesses.
Researching, reviewing, and distributing information from victim service agencies regarding new programs and services for victims and witnesses of federal crime.
Developing and providing training, information, and resources to attorneys, colleagues, support staff, federal agencies, law enforcement, and community service providers.
Coordinating and arranging witness travel and lodging, processing witness vouchers, and providing assistance with authorization for unusual witness expenses.
Coordinating and implementing essential services, including language interpreters, linguists, and transportation. Communicating with and providing technical assistance to victims and witnesses.
