This job is for a veterinarian at a military base clinic in Texas, where you'll provide routine check-ups, treat illnesses and injuries for pet animals owned by service members, perform surgeries, and guide assistants on animal care.
It's ideal for a licensed vet with hands-on experience in clinical practice who enjoys working with a variety of pets and handling both medical and administrative tasks.
The role involves physical work like lifting animals and standing for long periods in a busy clinic environment.
This position is located at the Fort Sam Houston Veterinary Treatment Facility. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Possess a degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree, i.e., Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), obtained at a school or college of veterinary medicine accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education (AVMA).
Possess a valid unrestricted state license to practice veterinary medicine (may be a valid state license from any US state). Official transcripts must be provided prior to time of hire.
Unofficial college/university transcripts may be uploaded for initial qualification screening.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess active United States Department of Agriculture/ Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA/APHIS) accreditation.
Physical Requirement: Ability to lift 45 lbs and long periods of standing, restraining, kneeling, reaching and sitting, etc.
Must have use of fingers; Both hand and both legs are required; Position requires exposure to intermittent excessive noise. The information provided on your resume should be clear and specific.
