Full Job Description

This position located in Virgin Islands National Park, in the Maintenance Division. This job announcement is open to receive applications from the first 100 applicants.

As a Utility Systems Repairer-Operator, you will perform the following duties: Provides secondary treatment of wastewater. Collects water samples and conducts extensive testing.

Operates and performs minor maintenance on equipment such as masticators/grinders, filters, regulators, pumps, and aerators. Monitors solid levels in lagoons and activated sludge basins.

Repairs plumbing items by cleaning and replacing defective parts of utility and disposal systems. Operates motor vehicles to transport passengers, supplies, materials, and equipment.

Digs ditches for repair and installation of utility lines. Sweeps and cleans shop area and tools. Participates in the development of utility program budgets.

Monitors annual contracts with utility related suppliers.
