About the Position: This position is located at Keesler Medical Group in Biloxi, Mississippi.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the administration of management programs, preparing administrative reports, and maintaining office records/files of various types.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business or Healthcare Administration.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9.

Add the two percentages. Major Duties:

  • Assist commander/director in accomplishing all necessary internal operations.
  • Train newly assigned personnel on the basic functions of the organization.
  • Propose alternate approaches to management to more efficiently operate programs.
  • Disseminate information concerning new or changed procedures/regulations.
  • Instruct others on changes in administrative policies and procedures.
  • Compile data to recommend actions to the commander/director.
  • Ensure unit program compliance with regulations, laws, policies, and squadron commander directives.
  • Develop procedures to track program status and maintain program health.
