The Department of Labor & Industry is seeking a detail-oriented UC Staff Development Specialist 2 with an exceptional work ethic to complete our team.
This position gives you the opportunity to develop, revise and implement necessary training based on standardized plans established by Central Office to support the UC Service Center.

Through collaboration with other service center training managers and the Training Unit, the Staff Development Specialist 2 develops standardized UC training presentations, courses, how-to guides, and course materials, following established procedures.
You will deliver training utilizing a variety of training methods to include classroom and on-the-job; ensuring training is timely and procedures are efficient.
This position regularly coordinates with supervisors and management staff to determine areas of deficiencies and identify possible causes of such issues to include, staff performance, ineffective procedures or policies, or technological difficulties.
You can expect to prepare training room and equipment, ensure that all logistical requirements are met for each session and maintain records and documentation.
This position participates in the development and administration of follow-up evaluations, as well as After Action Reviews for delivered training.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with the site administrator and operations manager to review projected hiring needs and develop training plans.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion of the required probationary period.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment.
Under Pub 1075, acceptance of a conditional offer of employment will require submission to and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to: a fingerprint-based federal records check; a PA State Police clearance; a check of local law enforcement agencies where you have lived, worked, and/or attended school within the last five (5) years; and a citizenship/residency verification.
