Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing a fleet of vehicles for the U.S.

Marine Corps, including coordinating repairs through outside vendors, keeping up with maintenance schedules, and handling paperwork for adding or removing vehicles.

It also requires using computer systems to track everything and providing support to users of the vehicles.

A good fit would be someone with experience in vehicle maintenance or customer service who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with basic computer tasks.

Key Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-04 level, including customer service, motor vehicle maintenance, collision repair, and records management
  • Ability to provide customer collision repair and refinishing services via contract vendors
  • Experience maintaining preventive maintenance programs for vehicles
  • Skill in assisting with placing new vehicles into service or removing them from the fleet
  • Proficiency in data entry and manipulation using automated systems like Garrison Mobile Equipment (GME) management system Fleet Focus and GSA's Drive-Thru online program
  • Capability to initiate and update shop repair orders, especially in the absence of the service writer
  • Willingness to perform other assigned duties as needed
