Base salary range: $30,286 - $39,372

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves helping military personnel in Japan with moving and shipping their personal belongings, such as arranging deliveries, tracking shipments, and handling customer questions in a logistics office.
It requires basic administrative work using computer systems to manage records and ensure everything runs smoothly.
A good fit would be someone organized with customer service experience, comfortable with office tasks, and able to adapt to a military base environment overseas where medical care is limited.
You will serve as a Transportation Assistant in the Distribution Management Office (DMO), G-4 Logistics Division of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-4 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing clerical and administrative tasks in support of the transportation office to include; arrange for delivery and tracking of personal property; utilize automated software (e.g.
Defense Personal Property System (DPS) to prepare shipping documents; verify accuracy of storage accounts, answer customer inquiries regarding personal property shipments.

Additional Information Continued: PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ).
To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
ICTAP Applicants: To be considered well-qualified and exercise selection priority as an ICTAP candidate, displaced Federal employees must satisfy all qualification requirements for the position and receive a rating in the highly qualified category (score 85) or higher.
ICTAP candidates must provide copies of all of the following documentation at the time of application: 1) agency notice; 2) most recent performance appraisal; and 3) most recent SF-50 or notification of personnel action that includes position, grade level, and duty location.
