This job involves supporting a training school for radiological control technicians at a naval shipyard by preparing instructional mock-ups, organizing training materials, and creating multimedia presentations.
It's a hands-on role focused on ensuring high-quality, practical training in radiation safety.
A good fit would be someone with experience in technical training support, familiarity with radiological safety, and skills in educational tools and equipment maintenance.
You will serve as a TRAINING TECHNICIAN in support of Rad Con Tech Qualification School (Code 105.7) in the Radiological Control Office of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience understanding the Radiological Controls Technician Qualification School policies and other requirements relating to the provision of training and visual aids for the practical abilities instruction involved.
Experience providing knowledge of training and visual aids used for practical abilities training and maintenance of radiological instructional mock-ups, equipment, supplies and tools necessary to ensure training integrity.
Experience providing radiological control requirements associated with being a production worker in areas of potential radiation hazard and general familiarity with the equipment used in training mock-ups.
Experience demonstrating knowledge of successful completion of 389-0288, Article 107 radiation worker training.
