The primary purpose of this position is to plan, administer and assess AFTAC professional development and training programs and to manage assigned areas of Professional Development and Education Programs for the Air Force Technical Applications Center.
Organizational location of position: Air Combat Command (ACC), Sixteenth Air Force (16AF), AF Technical Applications Center (AFTAC), Patrick SFB FL.
This is a GG-11 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS).
The GG-11 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GG-11 level.
The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Education Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- education or a subject area related to the position to be filled.or Specialized Experience (for positions above GS-5): Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction.
Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s).
Supervising or administering a training program. Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results.
Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position.
Examples of creditable experience includes knowledge of training and education programs, knowledge of educations and training rules, procedures requiring extended training and experience to perform a wide variety of interrelated procedural assignments and resolve a wide range of problems.

OR EDUCATION: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B or J.D.

AND KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.
Knowledge of training specialist methods and techniques for management and implementation of professional development education courses, seminars, and training programs and management principles/techniques for administrating such programs.

Ability to identify needs, conduct studies and analysis, and use effective qualitative and quantitative analytical and evaluative methods to accurately assess information, formulate responses to resolve problems, and prepare/present findings to senior leadership.
3.
In-depth knowledge of a wide range of DoD, Industry, and Air Force workforce development concepts, principles, methods, practices, and techniques sufficient to accomplish a wide range of complex, interrelated activities.
Knowledge of AF officer, enlisted and civilian training including CDE, PME, etc. 4. Knowledge of the mission, organization, and workforce development processes of the AFTAC.
Mastery of the principles, practices, techniques and objectives of adult education to serve as a Course Advisor for various courses. 5.
.Ability to make decisions or recommendations significantly changing, interpreting, or developing training development, and course content meeting the needs of the AFTAC strategy on development educational programs.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
