This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted position for a TRAINING SPECIALIST, Position Description Number PDD2656000, and is part of the SC HQ 218TH REGT LDR TNG BDE, South Carolina Army National Guard.
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION OPEN TO THE FOLLOWING AREA OF CONSIDERATION (AOC): Area of Consideration: This position is open to Areas 1.
Area 1: Current employees of the South Carolina Army National Guard (Tenure 1 and 2) Area 2: Current members of the South Carolina Army National Guard Area 3: Any individual eligible for membership in the South Carolina Army National Guard MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: All series personnel must be certified at the next higher level before being eligible for that level and must have a minimum of one year on-the-job experience in the grade immediately below the next higher level.
Must have the education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade.
Experiences, education, or training that demonstrated the ability to follow directions, read, understand, and retain instructions, regulations, and procedures that otherwise demonstrates the ability to perform or learn to perform the duties of the position.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Is experience that prepares the applicant to perform the duties of this position. May substitute educational-degree study program for specialized experience.

This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.

This position is located in the Regional Training Institute (RTI).
The purpose of this position is to serve as a Level II Master Resilience Trainer-Facilitator (MRT-F) and assist the Level III Master Resilience Trainer - Assistant Primary Instructor (MRT-API).
The incumbent facilitates resilience and comprehensive fitness training for 12-18 classes per year, with a maximum of 120 students per class.
Using one facilitator to six students (ratio 1:6) is required. This position works under the general supervision of the Level IV Master Resilience Trainer-Primary Instructor (MRT-PI).
Involves nonprofessional work of a technical, specialized, or support nature in the field of education and training when the work requires knowledge of program objectives, policies, procedures, or pertinent regulatory requirements affecting the education or training activity.
Conducts education and training tasks for maintenance, operations, and support training; education services; curriculum development; and instructor activities.
