About the Position: Serves as a Traffic Management Specialist in the ARTRANS Terminal Operations Division, G3, with responsibility for the development, implementation and evaluation of cargo movement via sealift around the world.
Responsibilities include a mastery of technical transportation skills applicable to the movement of all classes of cargo to include plans, concepts, operations, principles, readiness, systems, and methodology along with the skills and ability to communicate effectively.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in 1) facilitating the movement of cargo through the Defense Transportation System, 2) ocean terminal operations support, and 3) providing advisory service to resolve transportation problems to ensure timely movement of cargo.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service (GS-11).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
