Job Description
This class is responsible for performing journeyman trades and duties. The position will be required to perform complex installations and repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspecting equipment.This position is a lead to staff and will assign and monitor work as well as train new employees. Essential Duties
- Serving as a lead
- Performing complex installations and repairs
- Inspecting equipment and determining needed repairs
- Performing preventative maintenance
- Maintaining level of supplies and equipment
Other Job Requirements/Information
- This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing.
- This job requires a public safety background check to include motor vehicle histories, criminal histories, and fingerprinting.
- This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
The grades and titles of these positions are dependent upon experience and education.

The grade for Trades Tech I is A12(3). The grade for a Trades Tech II is B21(3). The grade for Trades Tech III is B23(3).

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED

Trades Tech II - Salary: $43,238.00 - $56,209.00
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of trades experience
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
- Valid driver's license
- Level I Certification in specialty area
Minimum Qualifications
Trades Tech III - Salary: $51,237.00 - $66,607.00 - High school diploma or GED
- Four years of trades experience
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
- Valid driver's license
- Level I or II Certification in specialty area
