The Facility Maintenance Technician IV plays a key role in supporting the upkeep, functionality, and overall appearance of campus facilities.
This position is responsible for performing a wide range of skilled maintenance tasks, including painting, drywall repair and installation, basic carpentry, and the installation or replacement of fixtures.
The technician also assists with moving furniture, equipment, and materials throughout the facility to support departmental needs, events, and operational changes.
In this advanced-level role, the Technician IV participates in miscellaneous facility improvement projects, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with institutional standards.
The position requires the ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues, recommend solutions, and collaborate with team members to complete both routine and specialized tasks.
The technician utilizes the institution’s work order management system to document activities, track progress, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks. Accurate record-keeping supports effective communication, planning, and compliance with maintenance protocols.
