To qualify at the GS-11 level: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as: Analyzing program operations in the business or industry area related to industrial base and/or national security; and Preparing briefings for internal and external stakeholders; and Contacting internal and/or external stakeholders orally and in writing to obtain information.
-OR- SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION: Ph.D.
or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related -OR- COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
Major Duties:
As a Trade and Industry Analyst, you will perform the following duties: Researches, analyzes, and interprets moderately complex trade and industry data and information asthey relate to office's Defense Priorities and Allocations System, Offsets in Defense Trade,Department of Defense international agreements.
Identifies procedural problems in program operations, makes recommendations to resolve complicatedproblems involving regulatory compliance, technical obstacles.
Studies proposed legislation and/or regulations for impact on programs. Researches current or newmanagement practices for application to programs or operations.
