This job involves managing tools and parts for the U.S. Army Reserve, including keeping track of inventory, organizing storage, inspecting items for damage, and doing basic upkeep on equipment.

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This is a military technician position with the 99th Readiness Division, Equipment Concentration Site (ECS) 93 at Fort Eustis, Virginia.
This position may offer a $5,000 recruitment bonus (see Additional Information Section) Who May Apply: US Citizens Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. There is no specific length of training or experience required.
However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Tools and Parts Attendant without more than normal supervision.
To meet the screen out element, applicants should document experience or show the ability to do the following: Identify equipment or tools for intended use, maintain inventory levels, or perform minor maintenance on equipment or vehicles.
Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work is performed on hard surface and in work areas that require standing, stooping, bending and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
Attendant frequently lifts and carries tools, parts, supplies and equipment weighting up to 40 pounds.
Hand trucks, dollies and forklifts (4,000-15,000 lbs.) are available for use in handling heavier items.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Works in storage area which is well lighted, fairly clean, and well heated but occasionally drafty and noisy. There is some possibility of minor cuts and bruises. Major Duties:
