The South Mountain Restoration Center is searching for a Therapeutic Activities Worker interested in playing an active role in planning memorable, entertaining activities for the dynamic individuals we serve.
This position is responsible for ensuring resident activities support our mission of providing the highest standard of quality resident care.

As a Therapeutic Activities Worker, you will make a meaningful difference by enriching the lives of residents through engaging, therapeutic activities.
This includes planning, organizing, and leading activity programs designed to help residents develop, maintain, and enhance their functional abilities while supporting their individual treatment goals.
You will be responsible for conducting person-centered activity programs that support residents in developing new skills and maintaining existing functional abilities.
Work involves observing behaviors, abilities, and responses during activities; developing programs that balance physical, cognitive, social, and emotional needs; as well as utilizing diverse program areas including music, movement and dance, arts and crafts, games, horticulture and gardening, community outings, discussion groups, reading, special events, and activities of daily living.
You will have the opportunity to serve as an essential resource for assigned units and provide guidance to non-professional staff and volunteers in implementing basic social and recreational activities.
