Full Job Description

This National Guard position is for a THEATER AEROSPACE OPERATIONS COMMAND AND CONTROL OFFICER (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1504P01 and is part of the FL HQ 101 AOG, National Guard.

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C.

709" and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians.

PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized.

Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.

Recruitment / Relocation: Incentive MAY be authorized. ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.

FLNG BUS Code 8888: This position is "excluded" and ineligible for labor organization representation.

MILITARY GRADE(S) - Officer: 03 thru O4 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training in following directives and regulations.

Experience interpreting and applying published directives or regulations. Experience communicating with others.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS12 Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-11 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience education, or training routine and non-routine preflight, in-flight, post-flight, ground or command and control (C2) duties according to specific transportation functions.

Receives, interprets, extracts, and disseminates relevant data for mission planning or execution.

Experience coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences/problems. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed.

Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Major Duties:

As a Theater Aerospace Operations Command and Control Officer, GS-2101-12, you will administer refresher and advanced training to ANG military AOC weapons systems positional specialists.

Instructs rated pilots, navigators, air battle managers, space operations specialists, and other AOC assigned personnel in advanced aerospace operations applications using current AOC systems of record.

Instructs and evaluates all AOC specialists to become instructors.

Instructs such personnel to function within established joint doctrinal principles to plan and prosecute theater-level joint operations.

Monitors progress during training and advises when AOC personnel are ready for positional certification.
