This job involves leading and coordinating military tests on a naval range in California, managing everything from planning and safety checks to guiding aircraft and teams during high-stakes operations with weapons and explosives.
It's ideal for someone with hands-on experience in defense testing who thrives in team settings under pressure and understands military hardware like aircraft and weapon systems.
You will serve as a TEST CONDUCTOR in the RANGES/TARGETS OPS/INSTRUMENT & LABS GROUP of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Proven ability to manage the lifecycle of military testing, from development and review to final approval and execution; 2) Solid working knowledge of explosive weapon systems and a foundational understanding of military aircrafts; 3) Experience working effectively in a team environment during high stress operational and developmental testing.
