Full Job Description

You will serve as a TEST CONDUCTOR in the RANGES/TARGETS OPS/INSTRUMENT & LABS GROUP of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Proven ability to manage the lifecycle of military testing, from development and review to final approval and execution; 2) Solid working knowledge of explosive weapon systems and a foundational understanding of military aircrafts; 3) Experience working effectively in a team environment during high stress operational and developmental testing.

  • You will be responsible for continuous familiarization of range capabilities, assets, and operational procedures.
  • You will support planning and coordination for agencies participating in or supporting training operations on the range complex.
  • You will coordinate with range scheduling for event scenario approvals ensuring mission objectives are achieved in a safe and effective manner.
  • You will guide range instrumentation and support personnel during live operations within the complex and provide advisory and/or positive control of aircraft during test and evaluation and training operations.
