Summary

This temporary job involves conducting detailed background checks on candidates for probation and parole agent positions, including preparing hiring packets, all under limited supervision.

Full Job Description

**This position will require the employee to be able to work flexible hours as determined by the supervisor based on a 28-hour work week.

Under the limited supervision of the HR Liaison for OSES (Offender Supervision & Enforcement Services), is responsible for conducting extensive background investigations for agent candidates to include the preparation of the agent hire packet.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree with at least 15 semester hours in social or behavioral science courses; an associate’s degree and two (2) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (to include Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience) may be substituted; or a high school diploma and four (4) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (to include Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience) may be substituted.

Experience in probation and parole work.

Qualifications

Certified law enforcement officer active or retired. At least 10 years of experience in background investigation.
