This temporary job involves conducting detailed background checks on candidates for probation and parole agent positions, including preparing hiring packets, all under limited supervision.

Ideal candidates are experienced law enforcement professionals with a background in investigations and familiarity with probation or parole systems.
**This position will require the employee to be able to work flexible hours as determined by the supervisor based on a 28-hour work week.
Under the limited supervision of the HR Liaison for OSES (Offender Supervision & Enforcement Services), is responsible for conducting extensive background investigations for agent candidates to include the preparation of the agent hire packet.A bachelor's degree with at least 15 semester hours in social or behavioral science courses; an associate’s degree and two (2) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (to include Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience) may be substituted; or a high school diploma and four (4) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (to include Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience) may be substituted.
Experience in probation and parole work.
Certified law enforcement officer active or retired. At least 10 years of experience in background investigation.
