Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves working as a technician to support and maintain Navy radar systems, troubleshooting issues, ensuring they're ready for use on ships, and helping with updates and repairs for the fleet.
You'll provide hands-on technical help both remotely and on-site, plan support missions, and create reports for different teams.
It's a great fit for someone with experience in electronics or radar maintenance who enjoys problem-solving in a military setting and can work independently.
You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the SENSORS WEAPONS & LAUNCHERS DEPT E00 of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project.
The NT-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-11 and GS-12.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level NT-03 (GS-9/10) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Identifying and analyzing root cause analysis that impact problems with the design, test and maintenance of electronic systems and provide technical assistance for the Navy radar systems.
