Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves creating and delivering training programs to help state employees adapt to new systems and processes, especially for a major project called OneWa.
You'll work with teams to design clear learning materials, like videos and guides, and support staff during changes in workflows.

**This is a Project Position**
The ideal candidate is a thoughtful and collaborative training professional who excels at understanding business process changes and translating them into clear, effective learning solutions.
They will work closely with project leads, subject matter experts, and staff to identify training needs and develop materials that support teams through operational changes.
They are skilled in designing, developing, and delivering training and documentation—such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)—that help staff adapt to new systems and workflows resulting from agency initiatives, including the state’s OneWa remediation project.
The ideal candidate is also an active participant in business readiness efforts and provides strong support to the Operational Readiness Manager, ensuring that impacted units are well-prepared for upcoming transitions.
As the Technical Training Consultant for the Product, Planning & Performance (PPP) Division and as a member of the Training Team, you will develop a remote and on-site training model to provide training and support to system users within the agency related to system implementations, business process and/or policy change.
This full-time/permanent Technical Training Consultant role is primarily telework; however, you may need to report to the office for occasional meetings or special events.
As a senior level subject matter expert, you will plan, design, develop and implement statewide virtual and in person eLearning and classroom training. You will also develop a variety of reference materials to compliment training and support system users on an ongoing basis.
Some of your daily tasks may include but are not limited to:
Collaborate with leads and subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy of training information and materials.

Option 1:
Nine (9) years of experience developing and delivering trainings. Which should include two years of experience related to technical IT training.
Option 2:
Associate’s degree with focus on business, human resources, computer science, adult education or related field, AND Seven (7) years of experience developing and delivering training which should include two years of experience related to technical IT training.
Option 3:
Bachelor’s Degree with focus on business, human resources, computer science, adult education or related field AND Five (5) years of experience developing and delivering training which should include two years of experience related to technical IT training.
