About the Position: Positions are located within the Americas Mid Atlantic and Southeast Districts These positions are not covered by a bargaining unit.

All candidates must reside within the local commuting area where the position is located.

Local commuting area is defined as the geographic area surrounding a work site that encompasses the localities where people live and reasonably can be expected to travel back and forth daily.

(5 CFR 575.203) This announcement will be used to fill Teacher (Substitute) positions. In order to qualify for this Substitute position, you must meet the education requirements described below.

Teacher (Substitute), AD-1710-00: You must possess a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.

Please note you must submit a copy of your transcript to receive consideration for this position. Major Duties:

  • Maintains discipline for the classroom
  • Communicate lesson plans to students
  • Maintain accurate records for the classroom
  • Supervise students in the school environment
  • Interact effectively with students, co-workers, and parents.
