Job Duties:

  • The TANF Program Support Specialist provides supports the effective operation and quality of the TANF Family Success Coach Unit by ensuring accurate case management, program continuity, and participant engagement.

Review support services requests to ensure eligibility, appropriateness, and alignment with TANF policies, program guidelines, and allowable expenditures.

Monitor support service usage and trends to identify potential issues, gaps, or inconsistencies and communicate findings to program leadership as appropriate.

Coordinate with Family Success Coaches and program leadership to resolve support service discrepancies, clarify policy application, and ensure timely and consistent service delivery.


Perform and support PATS functions, including data entry, monitoring, verification, and system corrections to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely maintenance of participant records in accordance with TANF program requirements and reporting standards.

Produces reports for program management when requested. Serves as backup to the TANF Program Coordinator.


  • Provide administrative support to the TANF Work Program to include maintaining the statewide resource list in an electronically central location for the entire Division's use, assists with developing trainings and workshops (virtual and in-person) for TANF participants at SCWORKS centers statewide on topics such as financial literacy, soft skill development, parenting skills, etc.

  • Conduct regular case reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with TANF policies, procedures, and documentation standards.

  • Ensure that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. Protects the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.

  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

A High School Diploma and relevant program experience.
