Full Job Description

This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Security Division WCF.

As a Supvy Police Officer (Inspector), you will be responsible for directing, supervising, and administering the overall police operations involving maximum and uninterrupted security protection afforded for the Western Currency Facility's (WCF) products, personnel, and property.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 Years of Age.

AND Specialized Experience: Tor the TR-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11/TR-12 grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Experience leading and supervising Police Operations, providing direction of operations and subordinate managers and employees.

AND - Developed operational regulations and policies directing Law Enforcement and security operations.

AND - Experience establishing and overseeing training requirements for security and law enforcement operations coordinating with internal and external training programs.

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the TR-12, you must have been at the TR-11/GS-12 level for 52 weeks. Major Duties:

As a Supvy Police Officer (Inspector), you will: Direct, supervise, and administer the overall security protection program constituting the operations and management of the Police Services Branch, including a constant appraisal of operational efficiency for assuring the implementation of approved maximum-security criteria into the program supervised.

Conduct a continuing inspection program of police operations for assuring that protective services are properly integrated and coordinated across organizational lines of the WCF and equally applied to non-WCF occupants and customer agencies alike.

Write and review all operational regulations utilized by the Police Services Branch, including special post orders, and emergency or short term directives, assure overall comprehension and uniformity in application and strict enforcement in compliance with established maximum security criteria prescribed for interior and exterior protection programs, and extending to enforcement by all occupants and visitors frequenting the property and grounds under jurisdictional controls.

Formulate and develop personnel training needs, establishing and maintaining training requirements for all police personnel.

Formulate and maintain budgetary expenditures of the Police Services Branch to include training, uniform, materials, and equipment monies.

Responsible for contracts for a procurement of such items as uniforms, materials and equipment for the Police Branch.
