Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing the receipt, storage, distribution, and restocking of equipment, furniture, office supplies, and other items for an Air Force organization in Oklahoma.

It requires handling paperwork, using computer systems to track inventory, and supporting daily operations for various teams.

A good fit would be someone with basic office experience, attention to detail, and an interest in organized logistics work, ideally with some background in supply handling or clerical tasks.

Full Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to perform receipt, storage, issue, and replenishment of technical equipment, office furniture, office machines, and/or other nonexpendable property and a wide variety of supplies.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, 2005 series.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-04, or equivalent in other pay systems.

Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of standardized supply regulations, policies, procedures, or other instructions relating to the specific functions assigned.

Sound working knowledge of the structure of the local supply organization and the organizations serviced.

Knowledge and ability to perform a range of standard clerical assignments and to resolve recurring problems.

OR EDUCATION: Successfully completed four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of supply regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods.

Knowledge of policies and procedures for requisitioning and stock control. Knowledge of general office administrative and clerical procedures.

Knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system.

Ability to research, compile, and analyze supply information and data; receive, screen, review, verify, and maintain supply documents; and resolve discrepancies.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

Provides supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for equipment, parts, and a wide variety of supply items.

Maintains property accounts and records, completing individual transactions, screening reference files, conducting data searches and distributing output files.

Performs document control work involved in the processing of supply transactions. Provides assistance to customers, storage depots, or other organizations. Performs general clerical support work.
