Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team to coordinate and oversee ship repair and modernization projects at a naval shipyard in Hawaii, making sure all resources like people and materials are ready before work begins.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY WORK INTEGRATION SPECIALIST in the OPERATION DEPARTMENT (CODE 300) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing projects and key events by coordinating work authorizations to ensure that the planning of resources, including personnel required to accomplish the project and material availability are adequate prior to start of work.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will review work packages, ensuring that the work covered is what the customer requests.
  • You will develop priority lists of all work on assigned Key Events/Milestones by reviewing schedules and discussing the work the team leaders.
  • You will establish and execute preplanning for the Alteration Installation Team's (AIT) portion of projects.
  • You will ensure Alteration Installation Teams are checked in through Regional Maintenance Modernization Coordination Office (RMMCO) and are ready to start work with all material in hand
  • You will analyze alterations and repairs, and to organize work packages that are effectively planned, scheduled, integrated and accomplished by the alteration team.
