Summary

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.

To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.

Creditable specialized experience includes: - Conducting management studies on distribution operations, customer satisfaction, and new business opportunities - Assists in the development of supply chain policy and procedural directives - Conducting trend analysis on inventory and transaction discrepancies and developing recommendations for process improvement.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

  • Serves as the Chief of Staff and Support Services Division Chief with the responsibility for planning and managing all technical and administrative functions in support of DLA Distribution Center Pearl Harbor.
  • Engages in the planning, development, coordination, and control of the Division's workload and funding requirements.
  • Develops and manages intermediate and long-range support programs for workload, facilities, and equipment to ensure operational readiness and modernization.
  • Develops policies and procedures governing program operations; conducts special management studies; develops and maintains the Command's Review and Analysis program.
  • Participates in meetings and conferences to provide advice, assistance, and recommendations pertinent to the Command's mission support programs.
  • Divides assigned functions into the organizational segments required. And reviews organizational and staffing plans of subordinate key personnel, including the number and types of positions needed.
