This job involves leading a team that manages fuel storage, distribution, and maintenance operations at a naval base in Japan, ensuring smooth supply of petroleum products for military missions.
It requires making key decisions on daily operations, handling emergencies like spills, and overseeing contracts for fuel shipments.
A good fit would be someone with experience in logistics or supply chain management, especially in fuel or energy sectors, who is comfortable supervising others and working irregular hours in an overseas military environment.
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) of COMFLEACT YOKOSUKA . ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED.
Please see Additional Information section below.*** Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing fuel facilities, petroleum programs, and bulk fuel contract functions; overseeing and directing petroleum supply, maintenance and administrative operations; supervising personnel performing petroleum storage and handling duties.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
