Base salary range: $41,966 - $54,557
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-6. Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement or 1 year graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves managing the front-end operations of a military commissary store, including supervising staff, handling customer service at checkout areas, and ensuring accurate cash and financial transactions.

About the Position: This position serves as the second line supervisor and manager of the Front-End Department of a Commissary store.
Fully responsible for all aspects of planning, scheduling, coordinating and controlling front end activities and personnel, and controlling all funds received and deposited daily as part of the front-end department operations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Customer Service: working all phases of front end customer service department, Financial Accountability: monitoring register cash flow, reviewing financial reports related to cash accountability, and loading money into tills, Teller: performing teller duties, running diagnostics on electronic registers, and reconciling monetary items, and Leadership: reviewing front-line work for accuracy.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
