The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to 366 SFS/Plans and Programs.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems.
Examples of specialized experience includes applying knowledge of analytical methods for determining and evaluating vulnerability threats, intelligence data, and other specialized areas resulting in possible program compromise are required.
Including knowledge of state-of-the art security equipment, devices, practices, and procedures with all IP security disciplines for planning and implementing protective methods and security procedures are required.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible.
One year at the GS-09 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of a wide range of security disciplines, concepts, principles, practices and requirements applicable to the information protection program to include: acquisition security, program protection, information security, industrial security, physical security, personnel security, operations security, foreign disclosure, and information assurance in order to perform the full range of complex security management responsibilities.

Skill and ability to assemble, compose, coordinate, and track information for routine or unique reports, inquiries, and related correspondence to ensure mission success.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized security organization. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

DUTIES: DUTY 1: Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of 366 SFS Administration and Reports Flight, ensuring that administrative security programs complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
DUTY 2: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. DUTY 3: Represents the Administration and Reports Flight with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
DUTY 4: Provides advice and assistance to supervisors, managers, commanders and other personnel on the installation
