Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a security team at a naval supply command in Hawaii, overseeing all aspects of security operations like policy enforcement, risk assessments, and emergency planning.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Supervisory Security Specialist as part of the Command Staff of NAVSUP FLC PEARL HARBOR.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector, demonstrating an in-depth knowledge and experience in leading security teams within the federal government or at the senior organizational management level, including training and developing employees, managing performance, and oversight of all facets of the Security Program.

Demonstrating detailed experience in drafting and enforcing security policy, managing emergency response procedures, conducting security risk assessments, and collaborating with local and federal agencies.

Experience also includes ensuring compliance with personnel security, information security, industrial security, and force protection standards, policy and regulations and in addition functions as the principal advisor to the Commanding Officer, Executive Officer, Executive Director and senior management on all matters pertaining to security.

  • You will exercise full authority and responsibility for any and all phases of the Command Security Department operation; manages, plans, directs, coordinates, and oversees the workload of the department.
  • You will serve as the security technical expert and advisor to all echelons of management on all phases of the Navy Security Program, and manage all aspects of the program including Information, Personnel and Industrial Security.
  • You will be responsible for establishing, implementing and interpreting security policy for the Command and implementing policy set forth in higher echelon directives and regulations.
  • You will ensure adequate Standard Operating Procedures, including Emergency Plans, are developed and maintained current for all Command sites and periodically conduct inspections of sensitive areas to ensure compliance.
