Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading security efforts for highly sensitive military programs, ensuring everything from personnel clearances to physical protections is handled correctly in a naval special operations setting.

Key Requirements

  • Proficiency in administering personnel security (e.g., access requests, clearances, briefings), physical security, and information security (e.g., document control)
  • Supervisory experience, including assigning workloads, evaluating performance, and providing career development to military, civilian, and contractor personnel
  • Ability to conduct compliance inspections, security assistance visits, and serve as liaison with the Intelligence Community and external security managers
  • Knowledge of classification, protection, and administration of sensitive security programs

Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE GROUP EIGHT (UIC 58063) of NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE GROUP EIGHT.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: You will provide comprehensive management and programmatic oversight for all Special Access Programs (SAP), Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations (STO), and Compartmented Access Programs (CAP), including authoring and implementing security procedures and guidance.

  • You will provide comprehensive management and programmatic oversight for all Special Access Programs, Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations, and Compartmented Access Programs.
  • You will serve as the command's subject matter expert and principal advisor on all matters related to the classification, protection, and administration of SAP, STO, and CAP material, policies, and procedures.
  • You will administer and oversee all security disciplines, including personnel security (access requests, clearances, and briefings), physical security of compartmented areas, and information security (document control and accountability).
  • You will directly supervise a team of military, civilian, and contractor security personnel, assigning workloads, evaluating performance, and providing instruction and career development to enhance team capabilities.
  • You will conduct compliance inspections and security assistance visits for the command and subordinate elements to ensure adherence to guidance, act as the primary liaison, Intelligence Community, and other external program security managers.
