Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team to manage security programs at a Navy installation in Everett, Washington, including physical security, law enforcement, and personnel clearances to protect people, information, and facilities.

It requires overseeing inspections, investigations, and policy implementation to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the OPERATIONS DIVISION ofNAVSTA EVERETT SEC DET.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing, implementing, and/or directing Physical Security, Law Enforcement and Non-Guard services programs for an installation; 2) Interpreting security policies, principles, methods, and practices to develop processes for implementing a security program; 3) Utilizing leadership, technical proficiency to provide guidance in interpretation, policy, investigations, and eligibility approval; 4) Inspecting command and subordinate activities for adequacy, efficiency, and need for improvement to make recommendations for corrections taking into account cost, risks, and benefits; and 5) Leading employees on reporting, processing, and implementation of security procedures relating to all personnel security programs and issues.

  • You will investigate security violations or compromises to determine cause factors and prevent recurrence.
  • You will conduct facilities or infrastructures Physical Security inspections, vulnerability, threat, or risk assessments to verify the security of personnel, sensitive information, or equipment.
  • You will develop and provide subordinate supervisors with written regulations and procedures to improve operations.
