Job Description

Summary

This job involves overseeing budget planning, resource allocation, and acquisition processes for the EPA's finance office, while leading a team to ensure everything aligns with the agency's environmental goals.

This position is in Office of Finance and Administration, Office of Resources and Information, Resources and Operations Division, Resources Management Branch, Planning and Acquisition Section.

About: Office of Finance and Administration This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.

NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level defined as managing contract strategic planning, resource planning, and budget forecasting; reviewing and implementing budget and/or financial management policies; and leading project or program teams to identify and resolve budgetary and/or financial discrepancies.

You will: Perform budget planning and formulation for the Office of Finance and Administration (OFA) to ensure budgetary levels and planning processes reflect the goals of OFA.

Serve as a principal advisor and authority for strategic Planning and the management Integrity process and deliverables to support the mission of OFA.

Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities such as performance management, time management and task management which will benefit OFA in planning and acquisition activities.

Serve as an expert in acquisition tasks to support the junior resource official and senior resource official of OFA to ensure acquisition rules/processes are adhered to.

You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
