Full Job Description

This position is located at MWR Recreation Division, Fort Stewart, GA. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Directly related work experience that included the goals, principles, method of techniques of outdoor recreation and understanding the interest of individuals and groups.

Planning, organizing, coordinating, supervising or evaluating community, industrial, outdoor, institutional, or other recreational programs.

Work experience supervising support staff in outdoor recreation programs. Demonstrated work experience must be equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. Major Duties:

  • Plans, devises, and administers outdoor recreational activities at a U.S. Army Recreation Area.
  • Maintains an accurate account of daily sales revenue, operational funds, fixed assets, and property.
  • Schedules and publicizes recreation activities at the Army Reservation Area, insuring maximum effectiveness in attracting and motivating participants and in providing the widest possible range of activities in terms of community interest and needs.
  • Supervises personnel assigned to Outdoor Recreation Program. Assigns, directs and reviews the work of subordinate employees; plans and carries out the training and development of employees; evaluates employee work performance.
  • Ensures that program emphasis is on those activities most appropriate to the interest of the population served, and the rational use of the land and water resources involved.
