Full Job Description

This is a NAF position with?the 17th Force Support Squadron, located at the Outdoor Recreation on Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, Texas. This position is considered Regular Part-Time (RPT).

You are guaranteed 20 hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours/week. You may be required to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Experience which has provided a general familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in the Outdoor Recreation programs is desired.

In addition, familiarity with land management, equipment maintenance, and recreation programming is desired. Cash handling experience is required.

Must have demonstrated ability to perform satisfactory at the grade level of the position.

Must possess a current Red Cross First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certifications (or American Heart Association equivalent) or be able to complete within 30 days of employment.

Employee must have a valid driver's license and good driving record. Employee must be able to lift 40 pounds without assistance, and heavier weights up to 75 pounds with assistance.

Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. This is a drug testing designated position. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier-1 background investigation. Major Duties:

Under supervision of the Outdoor Recreation (ODR) Director, assists in the planning, implementation, development, coordination, and administration of the military outdoor recreation program which is diversified and serves a participant community of active duty, military, reserved forces, authorized civilian employees and their family members Responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the Goodfellow AFB Recreation Camp at Lake Nasworthy (Rec Camp) to include, but not limited to, programs, facilities, equipment, supplies, resale operations, grounds and maintenance.

Oversee safety, health, and hazardous material handling, and physical security requirements associated with the Rec Camp.

Ensure safety guidelines are provided for specific activities such as boating and water safety, in accordance with the Air Force, county, state and national directives, polies and laws Trains, orients, and arrange training by appropriate agencies for all assigned workers, volunteers, and camp host at the Rec Camp.

Ensures general preventative maintenance and usage tracking of all equipment/facilities (ie.

Boats, vehicles/cabins, pavilions, etc.) is conducted Troubleshoots, and when possible makes minor repairs to equipment and facilities Performs full scope of supervisory responsibilities for subordinate staff, to include but no limited to; hires, conducts appraisals, promotes, motivates, disciplines, schedules, assigns work, and separates employees Operates cash register If interested in applying for this position you may preview the online application: https://apply.usastaffing.gov/ViewQuestionnaire/12922174
