This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
The incumbent will be responsible for servicing as Deputy Assistant Director for SCO Training and Management leading program managers and planners supporting Department of Defense (DoD) and Combatant Commands (CCMDs) global security cooperation organization (SCO) functions.
You may qualify at the GSGS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: Leading or overseeing functions/programs supporting Security Cooperation initiatives and logistics management by working with the Geographic Commandant Commands Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:
As a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER (SCO TRAINING AND MANAGEMENT) at the GS-0340-15 some of your typical work assignments may include: Oversees functional teams that provide advice and solutions on all matters pertaining to Security Cooperation Organization (SCO) operations including overseas travel, SCO training management, financials management for SCO offices and Logistics for approximately 140 SCO offices and 1,500 personnel located at U.S.
Embassies to ensure that all DoD SCOs have the proper resources to advance DoD SC priorities and objectives.
Oversees a staff of financial analysts in the National Capital Region and over 18 colocated at the CCMDs managing approximately $200 million title 22 and title 10 funds appropriated for the support of the SCO enterprise.
Oversees a team of multifunctional logisticians responsible for all logistics management function to operate all SCO offices around the world.
