Base salary range: $104,604 - $135,987

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).

locations, ensuring national policies are carried out smoothly in field offices, and managing teams to handle everything from customer service to resource allocation.

This position is located within the Managing Director - Issuance Operations, Passport Services Directorate, Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA/PPT/I).
The Regional Director is responsible for representing Passport Services headquarters to the field agencies and centers and coordinates the implementation of all national policy and programs to the field staff.

Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience directing and overseeing planning, execution, and implementation of passport adjudication policies and programs across multiple locations and time zones.
Experience supervising teams, setting expectations, and evaluating employee performance in alignment with organizational goals.
Experience leading nationwide projects or programs, advocating for resources, and ensuring deliverables are on time and align with organizational goals.
Experience identifying and resolving productivity issues; implementing improvements to practices and operational efficiency.
Experience serving as liaison for assigned passport agencies and centers, ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders on complex, time-sensitive operational issues.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-15 position.
