Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team of police officers and security personnel at a U.S.
Army facility in Pennsylvania, where you'll plan and manage programs to protect people, important equipment, information, and operations while ensuring everyone's rights are respected.
You'll handle everything from daily law enforcement tasks to responding to emergencies and enforcing rules.

About the Position: You will serve as the Chief, Law Enforcement Branch, overseeing supervisory positions, with responsibility for planning, developing, organizing, and controlling comprehensive security programs to protect lives, critical assets, information, operations, and civil rights of others.
This position will be filled using the Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in Department of Defense (DoD).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Overseeing law enforcement operations ensuring application of federal crime codes; 2) Controlling access to installations or facilities; 3) Communicating with public and/or other emergency personnel to respond to emergency situations; AND 4) Assessing situations to determine the need for specialized operations.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
