This job involves leading efforts to protect a Navy installation from terrorism threats by overseeing security programs, managing a team of specialists, and coordinating with other agencies.
It requires supervising daily operations like access control and visitor screening while advising leaders on risks and budgets.

You will serve as a Antiterrorism Officer (ATO) in the Protection Management and Planning Division, Force Protection Department of NS NORFOLK SECURITY DETACHMENT.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Directing Antiterrorism (AT) and Physical Security (PS) programs, including providing technical and administrative supervision for security specialists, instructors, and visitor control center staff; 2) Establishing job objectives, assessing work performance, and rating subordinates to ensure a comprehensive and integrated protection program; 3) Developing, implementing, and supervising the installation's access control program and visitor control center; 4) Representing the installation on various committees and work groups with Department of Defense, state, and local agencies to coordinate security and planning efforts.
